Polyurethane may be used in its flexible foam form for a variety of furniture, such as beds, carpet underlays, and other upholstered furniture as a cushioning material, making them more comfortable and supportive.

Polyurethane, in the form of both flexible and rigid foam, has been widely used in vehicles.
